The title of this blog has nothing to do with the entry. I just thought we all needed a good laugh….
Speaking of needing a good laugh, JDR just continues to look more and more exhausted and ready to move on with each passing week. He was no different in his Monday press conference earlier today. Take a good listen to the tone of his voice as Del Rio discusses his rookie quarterback, how he’s handling the current state of Jaguar football, and more:

The Jags will go with Gabbert under center on Monday night against the Chargers. Here’s JDR on his quarterback situation: JDR1

Del Rio had said previously that he felt Gabbert was making progress, particularly in practice. Because of that, JDR felt good about the game plan heading in to the match up with the Texans: JDR3
Gabbert still looks tenative in the pocket and doesn’t respond well to pressure. Thoughts? JDR4
Gabbert had every right to be upset about Marcedes Lewis not catching that wide open pass for a touchdown. Does Gabbert call out veterans after plays like that or keep pretty quiet in the huddle? JDR5

The title of this blog entry is not only a great quote from Chunk in one of my favorite movies, “The Goonies,” but also an accurate assessment of how I feel right now. Really? The defense puts up more points than the offense? Guys continuing to drop wide open passes? 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out? No offensive touchdowns?
The Jaguars lose to the Texans by a final score of 20 to 13 with a few plot twists through out the course of the game. In the middle of the 4th quarter, Jack Del Rio made the decisin to pull Blaine Gabbert and put Luke McCown in to try and get a spark on offense. It almost worked too. Here’s Gabbert with his reaction to the decision, where he goes from here, and more:

So the Jaguars have dropped another big announcement on us concerning the position of quarterback. Rookie Blaine Gabbert will definitely get the start on Sunday against the Panthers. Here’s Coach Jack Del Rio on why the decision was made: JDR1
Some of us probably saw it coming, some of us may still think McCown should get another shot. Either way, #11 will be under center Sunday afternoon at 1:00. Earlier today, Gabbert spoke to the media about the decision, his reaction to it, and more:
